Dan Shores is a partner at Rothwell Figg and founder of its Boston office. He has over 20 years of patent law experience and serves companies operating in a wide range of spaces including biotech, tech, AI, medical device, materials and energy. Examples of these technologies include mRNA; lipid nanoparticles; antibody drug conjugates (ADCs); CAR-T therapies; CRISPR; oligonucleotides; genetically engineered swine organs for xenotransplantation; AI for drug discovery; probes for tissue investigation; small molecule pharma; and numerous other technologies. Dan and his team help build patent portfolios, negotiate licenses and strategic collaborations, develop and implement effective IP strategies, litigate complex patent disputes, and conduct due diligence and landscape investigations. Dan is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and in the District of Columbia. He is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
