James Z. Deng is currently an associate principal scientist in Merck Research Laboratories, West Point, Pennsylvania. He brings over two decades of expertise in pharmaceutical discovery and development, with a recent focus on development analytical methods for vaccine development. He also worked on delivery of siRNA therapeutics and discovery of small molecule drugs, contributing significantly to these fields. He has co-authored more than twenty peer-reviewed publications and patent applications, reflecting his commitment to scientific excellence.
